A city on the rise
The Ideal Location
Northline is located in Leander, Texas, 26 miles north of Austin in Williamson County, at the intersection of Hwy 183 and 183A. Northline is a short walk from Leander Station, Capital Metro’s northernmost commuter rail line. The project is also conveniently located between St. David’s Hospital and the Austin Community College San Gabriel campus.
A Long Time Coming
With the population more than doubling over the past eight years, the City of Leander is one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, showing no signs of slowing down. Adjacent to Northline to the south, Austin Community College opened its San Gabriel Campus in 2019, which services up to 2,500 students. Adjacent to Northline to the north, St. David's Hospital is also expected to to expand its hospital campus, which contains a free-standing emergency center and medical office building. St. David's will break ground on its full-service, acute care hospital in 2024 that will create about 200 new jobs.
While growth has been incredibly strong, the city has lacked a true central destination, leaving residents with few options for shopping and dining. Northline has been a long time in the making and has garnered immense support from City of Leander, elected officials and business and community leaders.
The Community to Come
Northline developer, NLDC, hopes its vision for the community will further bolster this city on the rise. With 116 acres planned for a walkable urban community, this signature project is designed to be a trademark hub for one of the fastest-growing cities in the country.
In just a few years, Northline will serve as a family-friendly destination for festivals, events, farmers markets, concerts, movies in the park and more. NLDC’s plans for Northline will serve as the model for Leander’s prosperous growth for decades to come.
